ACTIVE SANITIZATION
CONTINUOUS ACTIVE SANITIZATION® is the ideal solution to sanitize indoor environments
Indoor air quality (IAQ) depends on the presence of multiple pollutants, most of which are produced indoors through normal daily activities and some of which come from outside.
Numerous studies have shown that microbiological and chemical contamination of indoor air is often caused by poor hygiene conditions, overcrowding of rooms, and errors in the design and/or installation of air treatment systems (aeraulic systems).
Numerous epidemiological studies carried out in different countries have shown an association between increases in the concentration of fine particles (PM10 and PM2.5) and mortality, especially in individuals with respiratory or cardiovascular diseases.
Airborne biological agents in indoor environments are capable of causing pathologies in humans and are a health risk. These include bacteria, fungi, viruses, mites, allergens, yeasts and odours. Among the pathogenic bacteria potentially present in a confined air-conditioned environment, the possible presence of legionella is particularly relevant.
In closed environments the oxygen present in the (indoor) air is gradually consumed, while with human respiration and transpiration some components are introduced into the air such as: water vapour, carbon dioxide (CO2) and various other organic substances.
In the absence of adequate ventilation, the quality of indoor air tends to be altered as a result of the presence and accumulation of pollutants with characteristics that change the normal composition or physical state of the air, generating stale air.
When air is stale, it is immediately recognisable by its smell. Clean air has no smell and is not perceived by the occupants.
In order to have cleaner and better quality air in closed rooms, it must be changed frequently and sanitised 24 hours a day using suitable sanitisation systems.
Sanitisation, carried out using advanced RESPR technological devices, is used to eliminate airborne viruses and bacteria or those deposited on surfaces.
TECHNOLOGY
NCC technology (Natural Catalytic Conversion and Ionisation) exploits the oxygen and humidity in the air, transforming them into powerful cleaning oxidants that kill any pathogens that come into contact with them. A natural photo-catalytic reaction, known as heterogeneous photo-catalysis, is used to achieve this effect. Heterogeneous photo-catalysis is a process based on the direct or indirect absorption of visible or ultraviolet light from a solid called a photo-catalyst, typically a broadband semiconductor. In this activation process, electrons are generated that can migrate from the surface of the catalyst. At the solid surface, also known as the solid-gas-solid-liquid interface, these reactions can lead to the degradation of pollutants without chemical changes to the catalyst.
The NCC (Natural Catalytic Conversion and ionisation) technology of ReSPR Technologies® sanitises environments and surfaces from bacteria, corona viruses, VOCs, reduces smoke, odours, pathogenic microorganisms such as dust mites.
HOW THEY WORK
ReSPR Technologies® uses catalytic ionising radiation (NCC) technology to recreate a natural process. The ultraviolet light generated by a UV lamp, irradiates a honeycomb surface coated with an alloy in which nanostructured titanium dioxide prevails and generates a photocatalytic effect: the water vapour present in the air, in contact or close to the surface, is transformed into a strongly oxidising plasma whose main components are hydrogen peroxide (hydrogen peroxide) and hydroxyl radicals.
We work in collaboration with our partner who, under exclusive license, imports and distributes ReSPR™ devices for indoor air sanitization.
